HAUSFELD WIEN
Competition for a collaborative urban development in Vienna
Associated with UTA Architekten & Stadtplaner PartG – Stuttgart
Austria, 2015
The ideas competition for the collaborative development of the sub-urban area of Hausfeld Wien (Vienna) sought a complex and global solution to respond to all the usual planning fields: urban structure, mobility, open space, buildings and uses. Our proposal links those aspects with qualitative aims for the new area development: diversity, porosity, community, identity, process and management. By intertwining these “lines of action” we obtain a frame of actions to tackle the suburban problem. The matrix is not close, on the contrary. It is an open information and guidelines tool for all the actors involved in urbanism to negotiate.
