LUCIA accommodates programmes of different natures, with different degrees of privacy, preset, visibility, etc., that STRATIFY in order to place public use on the ground floor, modular work spaces on the first, and the three research centres on the second and third.
LUCIA is intended to house a very complex programme in terms of diversity, and above all in regard to its variability. It must be open to constant renegotiation, and therefore behave more like PROCESS SUPPORT than a conventional building.
LUCIA is a SYSTEM OPEN to change on different scales, from deep restructuring and global programme changes to temporary or specific modifications.
