    International competiton for Young architects EUROPAN 11

    SHORTLISTED

     

    The competition sought ideas for the definition of a building that could accommodate a university, houses, a hotel, comunal services and parking.

    We propose more than a building:

    01. A THRESHOLD> the city becomes part of the forest and the forest part of the city / a port / a door to nature and an end to the city. / the edge of the forest

    02. A HYBRID > a complex ecosystem / stratification / 4 habitable environments / under the forest – in the forest – over the forest

    03. INFRASTRUCTURE > support for different programmes / forest / park / tourism / housing / education / parking / pleasure

    04. A TOOL > adaptable to various programmes and subsequent transformations / qualitative and quantitative flexibility

    05. A PROCESS > the programme gradually builds up, according to the demand for building growth, availability of budget, etc.

    06.  SUPPORT > different communities / students / families / visitors / cooperatives

    07. A FORUM > indoor square / students – tourists – citizens / pedestrian / natural-cultural.

    08. A FLUID > a continuous and diverse field of public relations – public – private / shared activity space and space for specific programmes.

    09. A LANDSCAPE > make the city a forest / make the forest a city / build a landscape through objects / the forest seen from the city.
