Loving Outdoors! competition.  Urban furniture desgin

The competition sought design ideas for outdoor furniture in a Mediterranean environment. Design proposals for ‘chairs and ‘umbrellas’ on the Greek coast.

The main idea is to create, with a functional, manageable and easily constructed objective, a new landscape in the territory. Not only to provide an answer for the action of sitting under a shade but, mainly for creating a dialogue between objects and nature

If we think about the landscape, we must stage a particular one (although the design allows all types of locations.) Placing it in the sea intensifies the idea of creating a new and innovative landscape: shade in the sea.

Furthermore, by placing the cubes in the sea, they become non-directional situations, changing over time, dependent on the climate and sea conditions: the created landscape is never the same. At night, this experiment appears in its surroundings illuminated by the light collected during the day from the mediterranean sun.
